CONCITO

A flexible Umbraco foundation for knowledge and data

CONCITO needed a digital platform that could communicate complex climate knowledge while supporting new initiatives. Apply Agency started with discovery, user journeys and information architecture and then built a flexible Umbraco foundation. The platform has since been developed further with new integrations and editorial features.

Technical disciplines, work delivered and results for CONCITO
Technical discipline Delivered Result
Discovery Mapping of audiences, user journeys, information architecture and key digital needs. A shared structure for the first platform version and the extensions that followed.
Platform Umbraco as the editorial foundation in an architecture that can be extended with features and integrations. Editors can work flexibly, while new services can be added to the same platform.
Data and features New APIs and improvements to maps, search and the editor experience. More data sources and user features have been integrated without replacing the platform’s foundation.

The result

CONCITO now has a platform where content, data and new features can be developed together. The ongoing modernisation of APIs, search, maps and editor tools shows that the architecture can grow with the organisation’s needs.
